The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a revised total capital cost of ₹3,630.77 crore for the construction of a greenfield connectivity corridor linking the Delhi-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-Sohna spur of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway with Noida International Airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh.

The project will be implemented under the Hybrid Annuity Mode across Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

The planned corridor will have a total length of 31.42 Km and will provide direct and high-speed connectivity from South Delhi, Faridabad and Gurugram to Jewar International Airport, thereby promoting economic growth and logistics efficiency across National Capital Region (NCR), according to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

The corridor will intersect major transport routes including the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, the Yamuna Expressway and the Dedicated Freight Corridor, enabling multimodal transport convergence.

The ministry said that the “corridor is not merely a structural enhancement but a strategic enabler for urban transformation, regional connectivity, and national logistics efficiency.”

“About 11 km length of this project is to be developed as elevated highway which forms a critical segment of the Greenfield connectivity between DND-Ballabhgarh Bypass and Jewar International Airport, linking it to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway,” the ministry said.

The alignment passes through areas earmarked for high-density urban development under the Faridabad Master Plan 2031.

The additional cost for constructing the elevated corridor is estimated at ₹689.24 crore, of which ₹450 crore will be borne by the Haryana government.

The project is expected to improve regional mobility and support the development of the Jewar International Airport corridor by strengthening connectivity between major urban centres and national transport infrastructure.
