NEW DELHI, September 26: NTPC Green Energy Group has crossed the 11 GW installed-capacity mark after commissioning the first 81.34 MW of the Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The capacity began commercial operations from 00:00 hours on September 26 and forms part of a larger 650 MW solar component being developed under NTPC Renewable Energy Limited’s 500 MW REMCL Round-the-Clock (RTC) Project. NTPC Renewable Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.
The commissioning has taken the group’s total installed capacity to 11,058.57 MW, while its commercial capacity now stands at 10,977.23 MW, according to a regulatory filing by NTPC Green Energy.
In a regulatory filing on Saturday, the company informed that the capacity began commercial operations from 00:00 hours on 26 September and forms part of a larger 650 MW solar component being developed under NTPC Renewable Energy Limited’s 500 MW REMCL Round-the-Clock (RTC) Project.
NTPC Green Energy informed the BSE and National Stock Exchange about the commissioning in a regulatory filing dated September 26.
