National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has invited bids to develop and run passenger-facing digital systems for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, marking a key step towards shaping how commuters will experience India’s first bullet train.

NHSRCL is the implementing agency for the 508 km Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.

According to the tender issued on 11 April, the selected contractor will be responsible for building and maintaining a range of passenger-facing systems, aimed at ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience across the journey.

The scope of work includes design, development, deployment, testing, commissioning and maintenance of systems such as station hardware, ticketing platform, website, mobile application, AI chatbot, customer relationship management system, loyalty programme, social media listening tools, cloud infrastructure and a data platform.

NHSRCL said these systems are intended to ensure delivery of a consistent and high-quality passenger experience aligned to the agency’s Passenger Promise Elements, including Available, Accessible, Trustworthy, Offering Choices, Value for Money, Congenial, Safe,Responsive, Personalized and Sustainable.

The bidding will be conducted through an open competitive process under a single-stage two-packet system.

Interested bidders are required to meet eligibility criteria, including prior experience of executing similar works.

Bids must be submitted online up to 3:00 PM on 22 June through the government e-procurement portal.

The tender requires a bid security of ₹3,90,67,000, while the cost of bidding documents has been set at ₹59,000 (including GST), to be paid through RTGS, NEFT or IMPS.

Pre-bid meetings are scheduled to be held on 28 April and 8 May in both physical and virtual formats. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened on 23 June.
