The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a revision in the fee for the FASTag Annual Pass for the financial year 2026-27.

The annual pass fee will increase from ₹3,000 to ₹3,075 and the revised rate will come into effect from 1 April 2026, the Road Transport and Highways Ministry said in a statement on Sunday, 15 March.

The change has been implemented in accordance with the provisions of National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.

The FASTag Annual Pass is available for eligible non-commercial vehicles equipped with a valid FASTag and can be used at around 1,150 fee plazas located across National Highways and National Expressways.

The annual pass allows users to make a one-time payment that remains valid for one year or for up to 200 toll plaza crossings, reducing the need for frequent FASTag recharges.

According to the National Highways Authority of India, more than 56 lakh users have already adopted the FASTag Annual Pass facility, indicating growing acceptance among private vehicle owners who frequently travel on the national highway network.

Once the one-time payment is completed through the Rajmarg Yatra mobile application or through the NHAI website, the annual pass is activated on the vehicle’s existing FASTag within approximately two hours, allowing users to begin using the pass shortly after payment.

The FASTag Annual Pass was launched on 15 August 2025 to provide a convenient and cost-effective travel option for frequent highway users.

The facility simplifies toll payments while supporting smoother traffic flow across the country’s expanding National Highway and Expressway network.
