Seva Teerth set to become India’s new PMO hub while new Kartavya Bhavans to house Defence, Finance and other key ministries as India is set to operationalise a new administrative hub with Seva Teerth emerging as the location for the Prime Minister’s Office, alongside the National Security Council Secretariat and the Cabinet Secretariat. The complex will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 13 February.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Kartavya Bhavan-1 and Kartavya Bhavan-2 on the same day and is scheduled to address a public programme at Seva Teerth later in the evening.

Kartavya Bhavan-1 and 2 will accommodate several strategic ministries, including Defence and Finance, along with Health & Family Welfare, Education, Corporate Affairs, Culture, Law & Justice, Information & Broadcasting, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Chemicals & Fertilizers and Tribal Affairs, bringing multiple decision-making centres closer together.

Seva Teerth brings the PMO and other top-level administrative bodies under one roof, replacing their earlier arrangement across different locations and signalling a shift toward more integrated governance.

For decades, important government offices functioned from dispersed and ageing infrastructure across the Central Vista area, creating coordination hurdles, operational inefficiencies and higher maintenance requirements.

The newly developed complexes aim to resolve these challenges by consolidating administrative functions within modern, future-ready workspaces designed to support faster decision-making and improved institutional collaboration.

Both Seva Teerth and the Kartavya Bhavans feature digitally integrated offices, structured public interface zones and centralized reception facilities intended to enhance governance efficiency, strengthen citizen engagement and improve employee well-being.

Constructed in line with 4-Star GRIHA standards, the buildings incorporate renewable energy systems, water conservation measures, waste management solutions and high-performance building envelopes to reduce environmental impact while improving operational performance.

The complexes are also equipped with advanced safety and security frameworks, including smart access control systems, surveillance networks and modern emergency response infrastructure, ensuring a secure and accessible environment for officials and visitors alike.
