New Delhi, October 3: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for the construction of Package 1 of the six-lane access-controlled Amaravati Outer Ring Road in Andhra Pradesh, at a tender value of ₹2,975.47 crore.

The package covers the Kanchikacherla-Nandigama section and is proposed to be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode.

According to the tender, Package 1 comprises the stretch from Km 189.000 to Km 189.930 and from Km 0.000 to Km 27.000, taking the total package length to about 27.93 km.

NHAI has issued the tender under reference number APDIV-19/24/2026-AP Division/PKG-1/e-329194, with Tender ID 2026_NHAI_293148_1.

The project has a stipulated construction period of 1,095 days, equivalent to about three years, while the bid validity period has been fixed at 120 days.

An earnest money deposit of ₹29.75 crore has been prescribed for bidders, along with a tender document fee of ₹3 lakh.

The tender was published on October 2, with bid submission commencing on the same day. The deadline for submission of bids is 11 AM on November 18.

The bids are scheduled to be opened at NHAI headquarters at 11:30 AM on November 19.

The tender follows a two-cover system, with the first cover comprising fee, pre-qualification and technical documents, while the second contains the financial proposal.

The Package 1 tender forms part of the larger proposed Amaravati Outer Ring Road, a 189.93-km greenfield corridor planned around the Andhra Pradesh capital region.

According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the wider corridor is intended to divert through-traffic away from urban areas and improve connectivity between Amaravati and major centres, including Vijayawada, Guntur and Tenali.

The project plan also includes dedicated connectivity to Vijayawada Airport and provision for future rapid-transit integration.

The ₹2,975.47 crore figure relates specifically to Package 1 and does not represent the cost of the entire Amaravati Outer Ring Road project.

The procurement is currently at the tendering stage, and no construction contract has yet been awarded under this tender.
