Kolkata, October 28, 2026: Vikram Solar Limited has secured an order from state-owned NLC India Limited to supply 289.87 megawatt-peak (MWp) of high-efficiency solar modules for an 810 MW solar power project at RUVN Solar Park in Pugal, Bikaner, Rajasthan. The order is scheduled to be executed by March 2027.
The Kolkata-headquartered solar module manufacturer announced the order on October 27 in a regulatory filing to the BSE and the National Stock Exchange. NLC India, a Navratna public sector enterprise, placed the order on behalf of NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), its wholly owned subsidiary.
Under the contract, Vikram Solar will supply N-type TOPCon G12R solar modules for the project. The modules use Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) cell technology, which is designed to improve solar cell efficiency and electricity generation.
According to Vikram Solar, the modules are engineered to deliver higher energy yields and stable output under the intense sunlight and high temperatures experienced in western Rajasthan.
The order covers 289.87 MWp of solar modules for the larger 810 MW project at RUVN Solar Park. However, the company has not specified the total module capacity required for the entire project.
The two capacity figures also serve different purposes. MWp measures the rated peak output of solar modules under standard test conditions, while the announcement describes the overall solar power project as having a capacity of 810 MW without specifying the basis of that rating.
Located in the Pugal area of Bikaner, the solar park forms part of Rajasthan’s utility-scale renewable energy infrastructure, which harnesses the region’s high levels of solar irradiation to generate electricity.
The order is classified as a one-time domestic supply contract, with execution scheduled for completion by March 2027. The stock exchange filing does not specify individual delivery dates or whether the modules will be supplied in multiple shipments.
Vikram Solar has not disclosed the monetary value of the contract. The 289.87 MWp figure represents the rated peak capacity of the modules being supplied, not the order’s financial value or the amount of electricity they will generate over time.
The company said the order would add to its existing order book as demand for high-efficiency solar modules continues to grow.
Sameer Nagpal, Chief Executive Officer of Vikram Solar, said the order reflected the importance of reliable technology and supply partners as India expands its large-scale renewable energy capacity.
He added that the company’s priority was to deliver consistent performance and reliable supplies for utility-scale solar projects while strengthening its integrated manufacturing capabilities.
In its regulatory disclosure, Vikram Solar confirmed that neither its promoters nor promoter-group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the order. The company also stated that the contract does not constitute a related-party transaction.
The announcement does not identify the manufacturing facility that will fulfil the order, specify the solar project’s commissioning date or provide estimates of its annual electricity generation.
The order will see Vikram Solar supply nearly 290 MWp of high-efficiency solar modules for NLC India’s Rajasthan project, with execution due by March 2027.
