Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse incentives worth around ₹2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana on June 19, 2026.
The disbursal will take place at a special programme at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi at 5 PM.
The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, or PM-VBRY, is the Centre’s flagship employment-linked incentive scheme. It is aimed at boosting job creation, encouraging formal employment, improving employability and expanding social security coverage across sectors.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the scheme has already facilitated employment for 15 lakh beneficiaries across the country.
Under PM-VBRY, first-time employees are eligible to receive an incentive of up to ₹15,000. The support is aimed at helping new workers as they enter the formal workforce.
Employers creating additional employment are also eligible for incentives of up to ₹3,000 per month for every additional employee. The provision is designed to encourage sustained job creation by businesses.
The scheme gives special focus to the manufacturing sector, which is considered important for long-term economic growth. Employers in the manufacturing sector can receive incentives for four years, while employers in other sectors can avail incentives for two years.

PM-VBRY came into effect on August 1, 2025. The scheme has a total outlay of ₹99,446 crore and aims to incentivise the creation of more than 3.5 crore jobs over a two-year period.
Of the total targeted jobs, around 1.92 crore beneficiaries are expected to be first-time entrants into the workforce.
The government says the scheme is designed to support both employees and employers, while bringing more workers into the formal economy.
By linking incentives with employment generation, PM-VBRY seeks to strengthen social security coverage and create more quality formal jobs for India’s youth.
The upcoming ₹2,400 crore disbursal is being seen as a major step in the implementation of the scheme, which forms part of the Centre’s broader push for employment-led growth under the Viksit Bharat vision.
