Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to conduct regular fire audits in hospitals, hotels, schools, industrial establishments and multi-storey buildings across the state, while ensuring strict compliance with fire safety standards.

The directions were issued during a review meeting of the Fire and Emergency Services Department in Lucknow on Monday, 8 June, according to a statement by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office.

CM Yogi also instructed the department to ensure the availability of equipment and resources required for high-rise buildings, as urban centres across the state continue to witness increasing vertical development.

The chief minister directed officials to further simplify the fire No Objection Certificate (NOC) system and make it more transparent and time-bound, keeping in view the requirements of investment and industrial projects.
