Ministry of Power has announced that Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, a global conference-cum-exhibition for the power and electricity sector, will be held from March 19 to March 22, 2026 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi.
The announcement was made in New Delhi by Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, who also unveiled the official brochure and teaser film for the summit.
The four-day event will be held under the theme “Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally”. According to the Ministry of Power, the summit aims to showcase India’s role in the global energy transition while addressing emerging challenges and opportunities in the power and electricity sector.
The summit will bring together domestic and international stakeholders from government, industry, academia and civil society to deliberate on the future of electricity and sustainable energy systems. It is also intended to facilitate cross-sector dialogue, strengthen global cooperation and foster strategic partnerships.
Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 will feature more than 50 high-level conference sessions, expert-led panel discussions, thematic pavilions and technology showcases covering the full electricity and clean energy value chain. The event is expected to host over 500 exhibitors, welcome more than 25,000 attendees, and draw over 1,000 delegates and 300 speakers from India and abroad.
The summit will serve as a platform for global policymakers, industry leaders, government officials, electricity experts, investors, regulators, innovators and solution providers. Discussions will span the entire electricity value chain, including generation, transmission, distribution, energy storage and smart consumption.
A key feature of the summit will be a Buyer-Seller Meet aimed at accelerating partnerships and unlocking new business opportunities across the global power supply chain. The Ministry said the initiative is expected to support cross-border collaboration and investment mobilisation to speed up clean electricity deployment.
The exhibition segment will provide an opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, innovators and solution providers to showcase technologies and systems related to power generation, transmission, distribution, energy storage, battery technology, energy efficiency, energy transition and startups.
Speaking at the announcement, Manohar Lal said the summit reflects India’s intent to shape the future of electricity systems. He cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s observation that India is entering an era of energy abundance, with the focus shifting from addressing shortages to managing surplus, ensuring resilience and delivering universal excellence. He added that the summit would act as a launchpad for future achievements by bringing technology providers, infrastructure developers, innovators and decision-makers onto a single platform.
