New Delhi, October 20, 2026: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has introduced a Toll Plaza Feedback feature on the Rajmargyatra mobile app, allowing national highway users to rate their experiences at toll plazas and share concerns about the services provided. Annual pass holders will also receive notifications inviting them to submit feedback after crossing a toll plaza.
Announced on October 19, the feature allows motorists to rate their toll plaza experience, select options relevant to their journey and add written remarks.
According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the initiative aims to encourage public participation and help NHAI identify toll plazas where service improvements may be required.
Under the new system, annual pass users will receive a notification through the Rajmargyatra app after crossing a national highway toll plaza, inviting them to share their experience.
However, the facility is not limited to annual pass holders. All users can access the Toll Plaza Feedback feature through the app’s menu and submit feedback on any toll plaza.
This means motorists do not need an annual pass or a notification to use the facility.
Users can rate their experiences on a scale, select options describing their journeys and add remarks about any issues they encounter.
The feature provides highway users with a dedicated channel to share their toll plaza experiences through the Rajmargyatra app.
NHAI said the feedback would help it identify and monitor locations where improvements in toll plaza services may be needed.
The authority has been encouraging motorists to share feedback as part of its efforts to improve service delivery across the national highway network.
By collecting ratings and comments, NHAI aims to better understand motorists’ experiences and identify concerns requiring attention.
However, the official announcement does not specify whether individual feedback submissions will receive acknowledgements, tracking numbers or updates on action taken.
It also does not prescribe a timeframe for responding to submissions or resolving the issues highlighted by motorists.
The feature should therefore be understood as a platform for collecting user feedback rather than a guaranteed complaint-resolution mechanism.
NHAI has encouraged national highway users to use the Rajmargyatra app to share their experiences at toll plazas.
The new facility allows motorists to rate toll plaza services, while the information collected is intended to support NHAI’s efforts to monitor service quality and identify areas requiring improvement.
