Passenger traffic at India’s major airports recorded steady year-on-year growth during the April-November 2025 period, according to the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation’s Monthly Review of Infrastructure Performance.

Domestic terminals handled 2219.92 lakh passengers during the period, achieving 94.13 per cent of the target and registering a 2.61 per cent increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

International terminals handled 533.79 lakh passengers, reaching 98.47 per cent of the target and recording a 7.34 per cent rise over last year.

Monthly figures for November 2025 also reflected strong passenger movement across airports.

Domestic terminals handled 308.9 lakh passengers during the month, which was 98.12 per cent of the target and 6.92 per cent higher than passenger traffic recorded in November of the previous year.

International passenger traffic during November 2025 stood at 70.6 lakh passengers, achieving 98.59 per cent of the monthly target and marking a 7.5 per cent increase compared to the corresponding month last year.

Cumulatively, international terminals handled 533.79 lakh passengers between April and November 2025, compared to 497.30 lakh passengers in the same period of the previous year, indicating continued growth in overseas travel demand.
